Carissa (Allen) Wessels Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Carissa (Allen) Wessels earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2020, following her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Nebraska–Kearney. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

Dr. Wessels provides comprehensive audiology services and has experience working with a wide range of hearing aid technologies, including CROS and BiCROS systems. She is passionate about building meaningful partnerships with her patients and their families as she takes the time to understand each individual’s unique needs. Her approach is thoughtful and personalized, with a focus on helping patients reconnect, communicate confidently, and improve their overall quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, Carissa enjoys spending time with her husband, Stephen. Together, they love playing disc golf, exploring new sushi and Thai restaurants, and spending time with friends and family. They frequently visit family in Nebraska and can often be found cheering on the Nebraska Huskers in any sport—Go Big Red!
